摘要
The tribochemistry of aluminum and the tribological characteristics of alcohol-and amine- type liquids used as either additives or lubricants to lubricate aluminum and its alloys under boundary friction conditions were discussed. The negative-ion-radical action mechanism (NIRAM) was also discussed, which was used for perceiving tribochemical reactions during sliding. The tribological behavior of additives and lubricants in relation to the friction and wear of aluminum and its alloys was also discussed. The potential of fluorinated alcohols to produce stable and effective antiwear films was governed by the number of hydrogen atoms in the vicinity of hydroxyl groups.
