Terrain following/terrain avoidance technology based on sequential IR image detecting

摘要

Terrain following/terrain avoidance is the new low attitude attack technology that can make full use of terrain shelter to enhance viability of aerocraft. A new terrain following/terrain avoidance technique based on sequential IR image detecting was presented. The principle, composition and the structure of the system were provided. The obstruction real-time detecting technique based on sequential front shot IR image were presented. The obstruction extracting method and a detailed size/distance resolving algorithm was given. With the obstruction information extracted from the sequential front shot IR image, the terrain following/terrain avoidance strategy based on the obstruction detecting technology was designed. The whole system was composed by the front shot IR sensor, obstruction extracting and size/distance resolving algorithm and terrain following/terrain avoidance strategy. The application of new technologies have good prospects.
