摘要
The structure of metallic melt is not homogeneous and liquid–liquid structure transition (LLST) widely exists which can make strong influence on the subsequent solidification process. Here we report an experimental evidence of temperature induced LLST in a Co-B eutectic melt by in-situ measuring the magnetization within a wide temperature range under high magnetic fields. A transition point (T0) and two paramagnetic Curie temperatures (ϑp(L1), ϑp(L2)) corresponding to two different structures of the liquids are determined. The effects of magnetic field intensity on the LLST and paramagnetic curie temperatures are studied, and T0 and ϑp(L2) are found not sensitive to the field intensity, whereas, ϑp(L1) shifts to lower temperatures with the increasing magnetic field intensity.
