Synthesis and electrochemical performances of cotton ball-like SnS2 compound as anode material for lithium ion batteries

摘要

The cotton ball-like SnS2 compound has been synthesised by a hydrothermalmethod. The structure, morphology and electrochemical performances of the as prepared materials are characterised by X-raydiffraction, scanningelectronmicroscopy, transmissionelectronmicroscopy, energydispersive spectroscopy and electrochemical measurements. Results show that the SnS2 compound exhibits three-dimensional cotton ball-like structures. The particle size of every petal displays the ranges from 100 to 200 nm.When the cell potential windowis set between 0.01 and 2.0 V versus Li+/Li at the rate of 0.1 C, the initial discharge and charge capacities of SnS2 are much higher than those of commercial graphite.
