Study on the shielding characteristics of carbon fiber reinforced cement composites

摘要

The rapid development of modern electronic technology brings inevitably into the birth of environmental pollution due to electromagnetic radiation. It is an effective way to eliminate electronic pollution through reflection, absorption and multiple, reflections by using appropriate shielding materials. Carbon fiber exhibits good electricity conductivity except for its high elasticity, high modulus, less density, and resistance to corrosion hence excellent reinforcement for composites. Adding carbon fibers into cement matrix can produce carbon fiber reinforced cement composites (CFRC), by way of which the mechanic properties of cement are improved. Furthermore, CFRC can be used as a fine shielding material against electromagnetic radiation and nuclear radiation.
