摘要
The atomic structure of the clean CZT(110) surface obtained by Ar+ etching in vacuum was observed through low-energy electron diffraction (LEED), where no surface reconstruction was discovered. The surface atomic relaxation was verified by the spectra of photoemission. Angle-resolved photoemission spectropy (ARPES) was used to characterize the surface state of the clean CZT(110) surface, through which we found a 0.8 eV-wide surface band at the peak of 0.9 eV below the Fermi energy containing about 6.9 × 1014 electrons/cm2, i.e. approximately one electron per surface atom.
