Sound pulse generation using the post-processing inverse filter

Echo-pulse method is an accurate acoustic measurement method where the inverse filter is employed to remove the effect of transient response. In this paper a post-processing inverse filter technique was designed, which proceeded along with an inverse filtering to the observed signals after estimating the impulse response. In contrast to traditional inverse filter methods, this method doesn't need any preprocessing of inverse filter, which can avoid the long duration of excitation signals. Experimental results showed that this method is simple and easy to implement. It turned out to be an effective way to separate and extract the input signal and reflective signal in acoustic wideband pulse measurement.
