摘要
Two types of intermediate phases, O′ and ω, were observed in a β-solutionized Ti-5Al-3Mo-3V-2Cr-2Zr-1Nb-1Fe alloy depending on the cooling rate. During heating the as-solutionized sample to aging temperature, the isothermal ω precipitated from β, but then decomposed before α precipitation. While the O′ was continuously formed and eventually assisted α precipitation. The air cooling sample had a greater amount of O′ domains, therefore produced finer microstructure and higher strength in the aged sample.
