The research overlaps a lot with research that has already appeared in Calcolo (2018) 55: 8. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10092-018-0252-9 and Mediterr. J. Math. (2016) 13: 2301. https://doi.org/10.1007/s00009-015-0621-4. Although these papers are cited in the final published article, no mention of these papers was made in either the initial submission or the revised paper that was accepted by the Editor. One of the conditions of submission of a paper for publication is that authors declare explicitly that their work is original and has not appeared in a publication elsewhere. Re-use of any data should be appropriately cited. As such this article represents an abuse of the scientific publishing system. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and apologies are offered to readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission process.
