Research on the coupling between electromagnetic pressure and temperature field in dual-frequency electromagnetic shaping process

摘要

In this study a model of heat-force ratio is established for dual-frequency electromagnetic field to explain the coupling of electromagnetic shaping process. The relationships between the ratio and current frequency and thickness of melt are analyzed. The effects on coupling between electromagnetic pressure and temperature field of induction coil constitution, current frequencies and gap between sample and inside wall of induction coil are calculated with FEM program. The induction coil height and the gap between sample and inside wall of induction coil have an obvious effect on the coupling. Some experiments on the coupling relationship between electromagnetic pressure and heated state in electromagnetic shaping process are done with aluminum alloy, stainless steel and Ni-based superalloy. The experimental results have a good coincidence with the simulation conclusions. Finally the samples of aluminum alloy, stainless steel and Ni-based superalloy with different cross-sections are shaped successfully in dual-frequency electromagnetic field.
