摘要

The current refinement and deformation mechanism of severe plastic deformation (SPD) for micro-nanometer materials fabrication were summarized, the two mechanisms of dislocation deformation and thermal refinement were introduced, and microstructure transformation characteristics of materials in SPD and ongoing research were discussed in detail. Personal views on the future research directions of refinement using SPD were also proposed.
