Preparation and properties of (Bi,Pb)-2223 multifilamentary tapes with Ag-alloy sheath

摘要

The multifilamentary (Bi,Pb)-2223 tapes with Ag-alloy sheath were fabricated by powder-in-tube method. Critical current density (Jc) of the tape reached 3 × 104 A/cm2 at 77 K, self-field, and the tensile strain enhanced to about two times of the pure Ag-sheathed multifilamentary tape. The reduction of plumbate phase in the precursor powders is considered beneficial for preparing Ag-alloy sheathed (Bi,Pb)-2223 tapes. The influence of roller diameter in properties of the multifilamentary tapes has been studied.
