摘要
In present work, we described the patch antenna and the perfect absorber with dendritic cell metmaterials. We proposed a type of dendritic structure metamaterials and investigated their electromagnetic properties numerically and experimentally. When applying dendritic cell metamaterials to microstrip antenna, the performance of the antenna can be optimized due to the exotic characteristic of the dendritic cell. The microwave patch antenna with the metamaterials cover have been designed, it leads to a significant enhancement of the antenna gain. Employing the anisotropic metamaterials, the antenna sideward radiation can be forbidden. An unbalanced composite right/left-handed transmission line structure was used for a novel dual-frequency microstrip antenna operating at X band. A center-fed circular epsilon-negative zeroth-order resonator metamaterias antenna with a symmetrical omnidirectional radiation pattern was investigated numerically and experimentally. The radiation pattern of the proposed antenna is symmetrical, and symmetry of radiation pattern, bandwidth and gain could be improved by adding unit-cells and adjusting unit-cell parameters. Furthermore, the perfect dendritic cell metamaterials absorber was proposed. The metamaterials absorbers have the merits of simple structure, high absorptivity, and large absorption bandwidth. Metamateials will open a new way in the application of microwave antenna.
