New visualization method for ship wakes applying water wave's dispersive nature

摘要

A new visualization method for ship wakes applying dispersive nature of water wave is proposed to solve the contradiction between real-time and display effect in ocean scene simulation system. The surface dispersive nature of water wave is used to establish the motion model of bow waves, and then the bow wake's particle system model is built. The shape-like particle system model is built based on the distance-width spread discipline of stern wake, and the post-rendering technique is used to merge with sea surface. Then all these models are realized on VS2005 platform based on open scene graph's particle system. The application results in an acoustic confrontation simulation system show that the method has better performance in real-time and display effect since the method is in more accordance with the physical law and its impact on the system frame rate is less than 1 per second.
