N2 - Multishell composite materials with rich polarized interfaces are always constructed to meet optimum microwave absorbing properties. The electromagnetic parameters of absorbers can be controlled by the type and thickness of the shell. Moreover, the introduction of functional shells makes it possible to build multifunctional absorbers. Furthermore, the superiority of one-dimensional (1D) materials can endow absorbers with strong conductive loss. Herein, we focus on high-efficiency absorbers with 1D multishell structures, and summarize the types and absorbing mechanisms of these absorbers. Finally, the prospects and challenges faced by this type of materials are presented.
