摘要

We fabricated MgB2/Ta/Cu tapes with and without Ti-doping through the in situ powder-in-tube method and studied the phase composition, microstructure and superconducting properties by XRD, SEM and SQUID magnetometer. The results show that the critical temperature of Ti-doped MgB2/Ta/Cu tape is around 38 K. The high magnetic critical current density of 1.5×106 A/cm2 (10 K, self-field) and 9.3×105 A/cm2 (20 K, self-field) were obtained in this sample, which is much higher than MgB2/Ta/Cu tapes without Ti-doping. The microstructure observations indicate that the grain size of MgB2 is much reduced by Ti-doping and the density of Ti-doped tape is higher, which may enhance Jc of MgB2 tapes.
