摘要

Wear and corrosion resistance are important indicators for evaluating functional coatings. As an important industrial coating, it is widely used in fields such as automotive manufacturing, aerospace, and marine engineering. This paper comprehensively reviews recent advancements in nickel-based coatings that enhance resistance to wear and corrosion. This paper offers a comprehensive review of the coating preparation process, microstructure, phase transformations, damage mechanisms, and the strengthening mechanisms of coatings with various compositions.It begins by identifying the primary challenges associated with the production of nickel-based wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant coatings. Then, it explores the impact of the internal microstructure and phase transformations on coating performance. Next, it investigates how coating defects, strengthening phases, and newly formed phases influence these material properties. Then, the strengthening mechanisms and damage mechanisms of nickel-based coatings with different components are summarized. Reducing micro-defects and controlling phase precipitation are effective ways to enhance the overall performance of the coating. Furthermore, this paper offers a comprehensive overview of the application of first-principles calculations in nickel-based coatings. It demonstrates that integrating first-principles calculations with experimental methods can significantly improve the performance of the coatings. Finally, the paper highlights the shortcomings of the current research on wear and corrosion resistant nickel-based coatings. The paper also emphasizes that optimizing preparation process parameters, controlling phase formation, and integrating first-principles calculations are effective strategies for improving coating performance. It provides a theoretical foundation and technical reference for the research and application of functional nickel-based coatings.
