N2 - Extracted Polygonum Cuspidatum Sieb.et Zucc with antibacterial effect, and compounded with biodegradable materials poly (butylene succinate) (PBS), the PBS/PCSZ antibacterial composites were prepared. The composites were analyzed by FT-IR. The crystallinity, hydrophilicity, thermal stability, mechanical properties and antibacterial properties were studied. The interface interaction was revealed by molecular simulation. The results show that the Polygonum Cuspidatum Sieb.et Zucc extracts give the beautiful color to PBS, and almost has no impact on the crystalline of PBS. It can be used as nucleating agent in the crystallization process of PBS and makes the hydrophilic of the composites reinforced. The FT-IR spectra indicate that the extracts take place intermolecular interaction with PBS, the thermal stability and the mechanical properties change prove the existence of the effect. Molecular simulation demonstrates that the extracts and PBS form C=O⋯H-O, and the enhanced interfacial adhesion between them. The composites with different extracts proportions all have good antibacterial ability. The PBS/PCSZ 9% has strong anti-bacterial function.
