N2 - The high voltage direct current (HVDC) electric power system (EPS) is an attractive framework for more electric aircraft (MEA), offering the potential to enhance the power density and promote environmentally friendly and low-carbon MEA development. However, addressing DC faults in the MEA distribution power system (DPS) poses a challenge. To tackle this issue, this paper proposes an integrated multiport solid-state circuit breaker (IM -SSCB). By utilizing this innovative solution, the number of components, as well as the weight and volume of the circuit breaker (CB), can be significantly reduced. This is achieved by sharing the current commutating circuit, which typically contributes most to the CB's weight and volume. Moreover, the paper presents a cooperative control strategy for the IM -SSCB, ensuring efficient and effective fault removal at various locations within the EPS when such faults occur.
