N2 - With the frequent occurrence of large-scale indoor stampedes, people pay more and more attention to the problem of indoor crowd density, and indoor crowd density estimation has become a very important security work. This paper proposes an indoor crowd density estimation method based on acoustic means. This method makes use of the reverberation effect and spatial distribution of sound wave propagation in indoor environment, and realizes the estimation of crowd density by analyzing the disturbance of indoor crowd to sound field. It can be applied to intelligent office, indoor security and other scenes where there is a high demand for crowd density estimation and there are many obstacles, that traditional computer vision methods cannot be applied.
