T1 - Hydrodynamic characteristics analysis of UUV parking on the seabed

N2 - Based on the introduction of the conception and working process of unmanned under water vehicle (UUV) parking on the seabed, in order to study the hydrodynamic forces of UUV changing with attack angle and the impact of assistant-thrusters and supporting structures on hydrodynamic forces, this paper meshed structured grid using Ansys ICEM and simulated the flow field using CFX of three different kinds of UUV, the UUV without supporting structure and assistant-thruster, the UUV with only supporting structures and the UUV with assistant-thrusters and supporting structures. The paper also simulated the situations of attack angle changing from -90 to 90 degrees and obtained the results of drags, lifts and pitching moments at each situation. Then the results were summarized and the curves of drag coefficient, lift coefficient and pitching moment coefficient were drawn. Finally, the hydrodynamic characteristic of the UUV and the impact of assistant-thrusters and supporting structures on hydrodynamic forces were analyzed.
