摘要

The Glycerol/CMS/TiO2 compound particles are synthesized by combination with hydrolyzation and sol-gel technique. The structure and the nature of the particles are determined by FT-IR technique that shows there is somewhat weak interaction between organic and inorganic component. The dielectric test shows that the ER fluid based on Glycerol/CMS/TiO2 particles has the better dielectric properties due to the interaction of the particles and the addition of the glycerol. The shear stress of the ER fluid can reach almost 1 kPa under 3 kV/mm DC when the shear rate is 100 s-1. Furthermore, the static yield stress of the ER fluid can be 18 kPa when 5 kV/ mm DC was applied which is higher than that of CMS, modified TiO2 and their blends ERF. In addition, the sedimentation of the ER fluid can be much improved.
