Gallium phosphide spherical particles by pulsed laser irradiation in liquid

摘要

In this paper, we demonstrate a facile method to produce gallium phosphide (GaP) spherical particles based on the technique of pulsed laser irradiation in liquid. The products by laser irradiation were characterized by scanning electron microscope and X-ray powder diffractometer. The influence of the laser fluence and irradiation time was investigated on the formation of GaP spherical particles. Based on the experimental analysis, we propose a two-step mechanism to interpret the formation of spherical particles from the micrometer-scaled raw materials. We consider that this study will be useful for future GaP spherical particles based technology.
