Framework of cross-enterprise collaborative manufacturing based on grid theory

To support collaborative manufacturing among enterprises and with reference to operation mechanism of grid, a grid-based collaborative manufacturing framework was proposed which consist of manufacturing resource management system, manufacturing job modeling system, and manufacturing task management system. The framework adopted Agent technology and correlative Domain Knowledge Model to support manufacturing resource management, manufacturing job modeling and distributing, manufacturing resource scheduling, and manufacturing process management. Based on the framework, enterprises scattered all over the world could establish a Global Manufacturing Network through Internet to improve the flexibility and agility of enterprises and response to market quickly.
