abstract = "In order to improve the dynamic control performance of sensorless PMSM drive system, higher sampling frequency and faster calculation capability are required. As a result, in this work an FPGA based PMSM controller is investigated and a hybrid sensorless control is implemented combining square-wave pulsating signal injection at low speed range and arbitrary injection at high speed range. The current over-sampling technique enabled by flexible FPGA configuration is employed to increase the accuracy of current measurement. The experiments are carried out on an FPGA based testbench including a 3kW PMSM.",
