摘要
To our best knowledge, even in the rare papers in open literature concerning counter-rotating compressor, we have not found detailed technical information about its flow field. Our aim is to present the results of our effort at developing such information for a dual stage counter-rotating compressor, which we have investigated by numerical simulation. In designing and optimizing counter-rotating compressor blade, we needed the performance and detailed flow structure of counter-rotating compressor under design rotating speed and typical working condition; we obtained what we needed with two kinds of commercial software: (1) NUMECA solver FINE/Turbo, (2) CFX. Numerical results show preliminarily that the p-ṁ (pressure ratio p vs mass flow rate ṁ) performance curves in Fig. 1 of the full paper obtained with the above-mentioned two kinds of software show good agreement. The p-ṁ curve shows further preliminarily that counter rotating technique is effective in raising the pressure ratio in a well laid out very limited space, thus raising the weight-thrust ratio of aero-engine.
