摘要
The experimental study on the mixing chamber of pulse detonation engine prototype is performed. Five different mixing chamber geometries are tested experimentally with the stoichiometric gasoline-compressed air at frequency of 6 Hz and the effect of screw-pitch and inner diameter ratio on the performances of PDE is investigated. The experimental results indicate that disturbance device greatly enhances the fuel-air mixing. Different screw-pitch and inner diameter ratios can affect the formation of the detonation wave. Steady and fully-developed detonation waves are successfully obtained when screw-pitch and inner diameter ratio is approximately 0.77, with the shortest deflagrate to detonation transition (DDT) distance.
