摘要
We experimentally and theoretically demonstrate subwavelength imaging effects in two series of anisotropic and isotropic dendritic left-handed materials (LHMs) lenses. A scanning transmission measurement was used to measure the spatial power distribution of the focused electromagnetic waves that radiate from a point source. When using anisotropic LHMs lenses, the half maximum of the focused beam with a width as small as 1/3λ was acquired. The source distance and lens thickness did not influence the image distance but the thinner LHMs have the better quality of the image. When using an isotropic LHMs lens, we acquired an imaging point with a 1/2λ half maximum width, with the displacement of the image point due to the source distance.
