abstract = "The nanofluidic diode has been applied to the many fields due to the enrichment and depletion of ions inside the nanochannel. However, the entrance effects were less discussed which is reported as a crucial for the ion conduction of a nanopore. We simulate the ion conduction with oppositely charged exterior surfaces of a nanopore/channel. Our results indicate that the entrance effect can also cause the rectification of ionic transport, with a reversed tendency of the rectification factor to the previous models (inner surface charge) as the pore becomes a channel.",
