N2 - Underwater sensor networks(USNs) play a vital role in marine devices, which work under energy -constrained environments. Numerous network clustering algorithms have been proposed to enhance the network lifespan. However, existing network clustering algorithms generally select cluster heads(CHs) randomly, which leads to uneven clustering results, imbalanced energy consumption in the network. In this paper, we present a spectral-clustering-based USN clustering strategy(SCUC), which achieves uniform clustering of network nodes, effectively balancing the energy consumption and prolonging the network lifespan. We also have verified its superiority through simulations.
