摘要

Both electric and magnetic resonances have been found in copper split-ring resonator arrays printed on circuit board as one kind of left-handed materials. It is found that electric field direction can excite the magnetic resonance with the change of an angle to split-ring resonator symmetric axis. On basis of ensuring an appearance of electromagnetic resonance, different substrate permittivity, interlayer spaces among split-ring resonator boards and electromagnetic wave propagation directions were designed to study their corresponding effects on microwave transmission property by using finite-difference-time-domain method. It is indicated that permittivity changes had little influences, while the other two factors mentioned above affect the microwave property significantly.
