Electrochemical properties of lithium ion batteries with CNTs/MCMB composites as anode material

摘要

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs)/mesocarbon microbeads (MCMB) composites were prepared by thermal polymerization at 420℃ for 2 h. The effect of CNTs adding amount on the synthesis of CNTs/MCMB composites was studied by polarized microscope and scanning electron microscope. The charge-discharge performances of CR2035 lithium ion batteries using CNTs/MCMB composites as anode material were tested. The results showed that CNTs was beneficial to promote the formation of MCMB, while the charge-discharge performance of batteries with CNTs was better than that of without CNTs. The optimum conditions were determined with the charge-discharge performance test: The CNTs/MCMB composites added 5wt% CNTs was the most promising anode material for lithium ion batteries.
