摘要
The maximum radar range is related closely with radar minimum detectable signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). To achieve reliable radar detection, the SNR of a single pulse is usually required to be about 13 dB. A method combining low threshold detection, Kalman filtering and dynamic programming algorithm is firstly employed to realize track-before-detect. By applying this method, reliable detectable SNR of the radar can be decreased to about 7 dB, which means that the maximum radar range is increased by around 40%. Link-up process between track-before-detect and track-after-detect as well as simulation results show the effectiveness of the method.
