摘要

Carbon-carbon composites had been joined by using molybdenum phenolic resin mixed with molybdenum powders. The shear strength of the joint heat-treated at different temperatures were tested at room temperature. The results show that a satisfactory shear strength of 13.3 MPa obtains for the joint after heat-treatment at 1500°C. SEM and XRD were used to analyze microstructure and component of the joint. Molybdenum powders can not only reduce the volume shrinking when molybdenum phenolic resin is carbonized, but form in situ single-phase Mo2C by chemical reactions between C and Mo at 1100°C.Therefore, the strength of joint is enhanced.
