摘要

The effects of different (Ar, O2) post-treatments on the superconducting properties of Nd-123 fabricated by the Powder-Melting Process (PMP) in air are discussed. The results indicate that the post-treatments at high temperatures in Ar firstly enable PMP Nd-123 sample to absorb more oxygen in subsequent O2 treatment, and hence improve its superconducting properties - sharpening ΔT and increasing Jt. There is a limitating temperature, Tline(∼600°C), for low temperature post-treatments in pure O2. When the annealing temperature in O2 is much higher or lower than Tline, the oxygen content of the sample can not increase efficiently. The effects of temperature and time of Ar, O2 post-treatment on superconducting properties of Nd-123 are discussed on the basis of thermodynamic diffusion theory.
