摘要
Effects of 5% Al content (atom) on the mi-crostructure, thermal stability and mechanical properties of Ti40 Zr25 Cu8Ni9Be18 amorphous alloy in substituting and doping methods have been investigated by XRD, TEM, DSC and ambient compression testing. The experimental results demonstrate that the nano-crystalline and quasicrystalline in the amorphous alloy rod with 3 mm in diameters are precipitated respectively with Al addition in substituting and doping methods. The undercooled liquid region of the amorphous alloy ribbons is increased from 41 K to 50 K-in substituting methods while is decreased to 31 K in doping method. The compressive fracture stress is increased from 1 924 MPa to 2 121 MPa and the plastic strain is decreased from 3.9% to 0.2% in substituting method while is decreased to 1 475 MPa and exhibits plastic free strain in doping method with Al addition.
