摘要
Effect of tempering temperature on microstructure evolution and toughness of Aermet100 ultrahigh strength steel was investigated by using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results show that the microstructure of Aermet100 ultrahigh strength steel consists of lath martensite with high dislocation density and a little residual austenite after quenching at 885°C followed by tempering at 472-492°C. With tempering temperature increasing, the width of martensite lath and the content of reverted austenite increase. The high toughness of Aermet100 ultrahigh strength is attributed to the lath martensite with high dislocation density and the increase of reverted residual austenite.
