Effect of heat treatment on microstructure and hardness of Ti-Mo alloy

摘要

The rules of microstructure evolution and hardness variation vs temperature and recrystallization temperature of Ti-Mo alloy were studied through solution treatment at different temperatures. The results show that the hardness of Ti-Mo alloy has the rule of low-high-low variation from 750 °C to 820 °C. The mixed microstructure of 3% α phase content and β grains of average grain size 31. 8 μm,has the minimum hardness, 251. 8 HV5. The phase transition temperature of Ti-Mo alloy is 790-800 °C. The starting and ending temperatures of recrystallization are 760 °C and 770 °C.
