T1 - Dynamic photography of electromagnetic levitation and acoustic levitation processes

N2 - To our knowledge, it is difficult to obtain the dynamic and accurate images of objects levitated by electromagnet or sound. In the full paper, we explain our shooting method in some detail; in this abstract, we just add some pertinent remarks to listing the two topics of explanation. The first topic is: experimental method. The second topic is: shooting results and their analysis. In this topic, with the shooting parameters given in Table 1, we use high shutter velocity together with supplementary light to obtain the well-shot images of a liquid nickel droplet and a liquid aluminum droplet levitated by electromagnet, as shown in Figs. 1(d) and 2 respectively. Using the parameters given in Tables 3 and 4, we also obtain the well-shot images of a polymer ball and a water droplet levitated by sound, as shown in Figs. 3 and 4 respectively. The analysis of the photos thus taken indicates preliminarily that the good combinations of aperture, shutter velocity and exposure degree produce the dynamic and accurate images of the objects levitated. The analysis also shows that the real-time observation of changes in the objects levitated is required so as to catch the best shooting moment.
