Design of Dual-Polarization Miniaturized Ultra-wide-Angle Scan Array Antenna

摘要

A ± 45° dual-polarized miniaturized ultra-wide-Angle scanning phased array antenna for 5G application is presented in this paper. By introducing bent-shaped radiating element with dielectric blocks inside, the element can be miniaturized and the beam can be widened. In addition, the parasitic pillars on the ground can broaden the beamwidth of the element further. Finally a 6\times 6 antenna array is simulated and optimized with HFSS. The simulated and measured results show that the antenna array can cover the frequency band from 3.3 GHz to 3.8 GHz and ultra-wide scan angle of ± 80° can be realized with the scanning loss less than 7.2dB.
