摘要
Thermal-shock behavior of superalloy GH163 has been studied between 850°C and room temperature in different atmospheres. Mechanical properties, fracture surface and microstructure of the thermally shocked superalloys have been compared with those of as-received superalloy. It is shown that the Young's modulus, tensile strength and percentage reduction of area for the superalloy thermally-shocked in Ar (1 × 105 Pa) decrease by 2%, 10% and 2%, respectively. The tensile fracture mode is ductile. By contrast, these three values of the thermally shocked superalloy in the mixed atmosphere of O2 (0.16 × 105 Pa) and Ar (0.84 × 105 Pa) decease by 3%, 17% and 25%, respectively. The tensile fracture mode is brittle with a poorer thermal shock resistance of GH163 due to the grain coarsening and the oxidation along grain boundary in the mixed atmosphere O2 and Ar.
