N2 - Selective laser melting (SLM) uses powder fusion for the manufacturing of the products in the layer by layer manner. Aluminum alloy AlSi10Mg is broadly used in the aerospace and automotive industry due to its good physical and mechanical features. In this study, we have used different levels of scan speed, laser power and overlap rate for manufacturing of test samples. The aim of the study is to optimize the processing parameters for achieving the best quality products in the additive manufacturing of AlSi10Mg alloy by using SLM technology. A 3-factor, 3-level full factorial Design of Experiments (DoE) with a total of 27 tests, was employed for gathering of experimental data. Finally, we have used the analysis of variance for the optimization of process parameters, and optimized the process parameters for achieving the best surface quality product of AlSi10Mg alloy by SLM process.
