Adaptive neural network formation flight control design for two aircrafts

摘要

It is a key technology of maintaining the relative position and tracking trajectory for unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) formation flight control. To achieve the best formation flight performance, the hybrid adaptive formation flight control scheme was proposed according to relative position and global formation frame. The neural network adaptive control method was used to restrain external disturbances and track trajectory of the reference model. Then three channels hybrid Proportion- Integral-Differential (PID) control laws were adopted at tracing command signals and keeping formation geometry. The stability of formation flight control system was analyzed. The algorithms were applied to the formation flight control of two UAVs. The simulation results show that the designed controller yields good dynamic performance and robust stability.
