N2 - An adaptive fault-tolerant strategy with an optimum voltage vector selection is proposed for a six-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), and a passive fault-tolerant control is realized in a seamless manner when the One-Phase Failure (OPF) occurs. The fundamental principle in controlling a one-phase failure motor is to properly regulate the zero-sequence current of o2, and the mothed of solely adapting zero o2 voltage vectors, as opposed to other approaches, not only improves efficiency but also maintains critical performance in a specific fault state. Furthermore, an optimal duty-cycle Finite Set Model Predictive Control (FSMPC) is put forward to overcome the limitation of excessive torque ripples by using full duty-cycle vector in each control cycle of conventional FSMPC. The result shows a reduction in torque ripple of 65%.
