N2 - The mobile underwater acoustic channel has brought a great challenge on the encoding and decoding process. The recent development of underwater acoustic processing method aims to get a lower bit error rate(BER). However, the controdiction between lower BER and real-time transmission are not well solved. In this paper, we reach a compromise between them, we combine the turbo code with the adaptive equalization technique and use this processing method in the one-way mobile underwater acoustic(UWA) channels. In order to do so, we investigate and analyze the quality of the one-way mobile UWA channels and quantify the effect of this processing method on BER in this channel. Experimental results confirm that this method can effectively reduce the BER on the premise of maximumly ensuring the real-time transmission.
