3D FEM analysis of forming parameters on cone spinning based on orthogonal experimental design method

摘要

Cone spinning is a complicated plastic forming process which is influenced by many factors. Mandrel revolution, roller feed rate and deviation ratio are three important factors influencing the process. In this paper, using the combination method of 3D FEM, orthogonal experimental design (OED) and multiple polynomial regression analysis (MPRA), cone spinning processes with two rollers under forming parameter combinations of mandrel revolution, roller feed rate and deviation condition have been analyzed. Acceptable high-order regression equations among parameters and indexes are derived. And the influences of the parameters on the shape fixability, fittability, wall thickness and flange state are obtained. Finally, the reasonable parameter span has been determined to obtain improved spun cone.
