摘要
A scheme of installing rotating wings is proposed for suppressing the vortex-induced vibration (VIV) of marine risers. The unsteady numerical method is used to analyze the VIV responses of conventional marine risers and marine risers attached with rotating wings. The relevant parameters of the rotating wings are defined. The vibration model of marine risers in single degree of freedom is set up, and the motion equation is solved using the Newmark-β method. The User-Defined Function (UDF) is written and VIV responses of marine risers are simulated using the dynamic mesh method. The following can be concluded from the results: With the increase of angular velocity of rotating wings, the amplitude ratio of marine risers decreases gradually and keeps unchanged at last; The effect of VIV suppression is very obvious. When the angular velocity is 3.0 rad/s, the control effect of rotating wings is the best. The amplitude ratio decreases from 0.98 to 0.008, and the amplitude ratio decreases by 99.2%; The rotating motion of rotating wings destroys the vortex shedding of marine risers, which destroys the periodic vibration of marine risers.
