摘要
In order to investigate the dynamic features of elastic ring squeeze film damper (ERSFD) reducing vibrations of rotors, a test rig simulating a rotor system with ERSFDs was established, in which the elastic ring could be replaced by one with different parameters. Experiments testing the vibration reducing effect of ERSFD were conducted, and the results were compared and analysed. The experimental results reveal that ERSFD is effective for reducing vibration of a rotor system. The relative change of critical speed at each order with lubricating oil supplied into ERSFDs is not more than 4.63%, which indicates that the oil film in ERSFD will not change the modes of the rotor system obviously. The vibration reducing effect of ERSFD varies with parameters of ERSFD, and it is different on different modes of the rotor system. There are a number of factors that may have impact on the vibration reducing effect of ERSFD, and thus an optimization design of ERSFD with rotor system is essential.
