Weighted analysis of an integrated logistics support based on triangular fuzzy number

Abstract

Drawing on the results in Refs. 4 and 5, we establish the evaluation index system of integrated logistics support; our system includes 8 evaluation indexes: information processing capacity index, availability of the computer resources index, availability of the human resources index, availability of the equipment resources index, availability of technology documents index, mechanism of management index, technology training capacity index, and supplying capacity index. In this paper, we, drawing on the results of Refs. 6 through 10, establish a six-step procedure for ranking the eight evaluation indexes. Our contribution is step 2 of the six-step procedure; step 2 utilizes triangular fuzzy number; in this paper, we sum up in some detail all necessary knowledge about triangular fuzzy number that is needed by step 2. In this paper, we give a numerical example; it involves the fuzzy judgment of three experts; our six-step procedure shows preliminarily that, for this numerical example, of the 8 evaluation indexes, the most important one is supplying capacity and the next important one is information processing capacity.
