Abstract

Aim. Some details may be lost in the traditional simulation results, therefore, a visual simulation method based on SIMBOX for a missile killing an air target is presented. The procedures and results of the simulation are much more intuitionistic. In section 1, we establish a conventional probability model for a missile killing an air target based on a fragmentation warhead. Section 1 mainly consists of: (1)the calculation equations of the area of attack, the conditional killing probability of warhead etc; (2)the final calculation of the killing probability model; (3)the simplification of the killing probability model. The simulation results are given in Figs. 2, 3, 4, 5 and Tables 1, 2, 3. The results show that any changes of the angle in the line of sight and initial velocity or the velocities of missiles and targets will influence the final killing probability, which proves that the model is feasible and reliable.
